Hanging Chandeliers in Aluminum, Stainless Steel Mesh & Frosted Glass

For the main architectural lighting component at MCI’s D.C. offices, Joseph Jaroff designed custom lighting fixtures for the entrance lobby and public hallways of the building. A single massive chandelier hangs from the ceiling of the two-story entry foyer, framed by twin staircases leading to the mezzanine, and can be seen through the facade windows as one approaches the building. Several types of stainless steel mesh were employed to create a moray effect, refracting the light as the viewer moves around the space. Smaller versions of this unique design are repeated throughout as drop-fixture, architectural lighting for hallways and public spaces.
