Campus-Wide Metal
& Glass Work

Founded by Courtney Ross, widow of AOL Chairman Steve Ross, the Ross School set out from the beginning to be a visionary and inspirational approach to education. In addition to designing the arts facility & wellness center, we worked extensively on the Senior Studies building, which focused on world cultures and humanities. Our architectural metal interventions in the hallways – acoustic blackened steel, wood and fabric partitions displaying replicas of great artworks from history – created open classrooms that were porous to the public spaces but sound-protected on the interior. Custom fabricated glass panels laminated with fabric were created to form an “acoustic cloud” in the auditorium for state-of-the-art sound and light control.
