Joe Jaroff designed and fabricated this sculptural screen that also acted in part, as a security barrier for the ground floor parking level at the 250 N 10th Street luxury residential building in Williamsburg.

The building spans an entire city block and is large and heavy to the eye. The architect described the imposing building as a “Battleship” in the neighborhood. Joe decided to lighten the structure by floating it on his waving screen. “The Waves,” is an art piece in form and it captures the attention of passers-by. The reflective nature of the individual discs, pull in light and other elements from the immediate neighborhood and constantly change as the pedestrian’s vantage point changes.
